Rent my tuk terms and conditions
PRICE
The price includes:
- Comprehensive vehicle insurance (including civil liability insurance)
- 24/7 emergency road assistance
- 1-to-1 tuk-tuk replacement in case of a major breakdown
- Sales tax
PERIOD
The minimum rental period is 1 day.
RENTER’S LIABILITY
The renter is responsible for providing a fully operational and roadworthy tuk-tuk to the lessee for the agreed rental price.
- The renter insures the tuk-tuk and the lessee during the rental period.
- The renter must ensure the tuk-tuk is in good condition, safe to use, and includes a full tank of fuel at the start of the rental.
- The renter must supply the tuk-tuk clean and with any necessary documents and accessories.
LIMITATIONS
- The lessee must have at least one year of driving experience.
- Tuk-tuks may only be driven within Sri Lanka unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- There are no mileage limitations; unlimited kilometers are included.
LESSEE’S LIABILITY
- The lessee must provide a valid driver’s license and a passport or ID card before the rental begins.
- The full rental price must be paid before the rental starts.
- A refundable deposit is required based on the rental terms. This deposit may be used to cover damages not covered by insurance during the rental period.
- The lessee must return the tuk-tuk in the same condition it was rented, including refueling the tank to its full level.
LIABILITY
- The lessee assumes full responsibility for any non-insurable damages or incidents during the rental period.
- The lessee is responsible for any fines, penalties, or violations of traffic laws incurred during the rental period.
- In case of theft, the lessee must return the tuk-tuk keys and registration documents. Failure to do so will result in full liability for the loss of the vehicle.
- The lessee is prohibited from transferring the tuk-tuk to a third party without the renter’s prior written consent.
