What does our insurance cover?
Our tuk-tuks come with comprehensive insurance that covers damages to the tuk-tuk, other vehicles, and personal injuries for you, your passengers, and third parties. While we’ve got you covered for most scenarios, we recommend having your own travel insurance for additional protection, such as medical evacuation to your home country, which is not included in our coverage. Your safety and peace of mind are our priority!
Can I return the tuk-tuk at a different location?
You can drop the tuk-tuk at a different location. Just let us know at least 2 days before your planned drop-off date. Our driver will come to your hotel to collect it. Please note that additional location charges may apply. We’re here to make your journey as convenient as possible!
Is it possible to pick up the tuk-tuk from a different location?
Of course! We can arrange for one of our driving instructors to bring the tuk-tuk, along with your license and all necessary documentation, to your specified pick-up location. You’ll also receive your driving instructions right there at your convenience. We’re here to make your adventure hassle-free!

Why are prices higher for rentals under 7 days?
Our pricing is based on rental duration; the longer you rent, the more cost-effective it becomes. Short-term rentals have slightly higher rates to ensure fair compensation for our tuk-tuk owners, as shorter bookings provide less value for them. This way, we maintain a balance that benefits both you and the local community.
What happens if my tuktuk gets stolen?
Tuk-tuk theft is very rare in Sri Lanka, but if it does happen, don’t worry—you’re covered by our insurance policy, as long as the vehicle wasn’t stolen using your set of keys. Your safety and peace of mind are always our priority!
What happens if accessories are lost or stolen?
If any accessories are lost or stolen, we kindly ask you to cover the replacement cost. Most items are not very expensive, but please note that tuk-tuk documents require a replacement fee of $100. We encourage you to take care of all provided items during your journey.
Do I need to pay in advance to confirm my booking?
Yes, as we pay the local tuk-tuk owners upfront to secure your vehicle and support their income.
Will I get a refund if I cancel my booking?
Yes, we understand that plans can change. Please refer to our Rental Terms for detailed information about our cancellation and refund policies. We’re here to help make the process as smooth as possible.
Can I pay with a credit card at pick-up?
Can I take the famous train ride from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya / Ella and still use my tuk-tuk?
